Next EOW in Al-Khobar in August
PRESS RELEASE No. APV-40-2009
23 July 2009
On 6-7 August 2009, the “Embassy on Wheels” will roll down to Al-Khobar to service Machine Readable Passport (MRP) applications and other documents for notarization, as well as the releasing of new MRPs.
As in the previous EOWs, the services will be held at the International Philippine School in Al-Khobar (IPSA) where 400 passport applicants will be served from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 6.
But due to an earlier scheduled event at the school, services will start at 7:00 AM and end at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 7, to accommodate 200 more passport applicants.
Applications that will exceed the total allotted number can be received and encoded back in Riyadh and will require the applicants to report back at the next EOW to sign and affix their thumb prints on the computer generated forms.
The EOW team was able to process more than 700 MRP applications during the last outreach service held at IPSA on 2-3 July 2009.
Applicants can verify the availability of their new passports by clicking on the List of New MRPs at the Embassy’s website, www.philembassy-riyadh.org.
To claim the new MRP, an applicant must present his or her old passport for cancellation, as well as the receipt of payment, and if he or she cannot personally receive the MRP any representative with a written authorization can do so in his or her behalf. END
