2009 Philippine Independence Day Activities

The Officers and staff of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Riyadh wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to the support of the Filipino community organizations and associations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the successful launching of the first two (2) activities, the Keep Batha Clean Project and the Photo Exhibit dubbed as “Ooops … You’re Back to Square Juan”, which were held in Batha and at the Embassy, respectively, on 05 June 2009, as part of the month-long celebration of the 111th Anniversary of Philippine Independence.
The Embassy regrets to inform all Filipinos residing in the Kingdom that the Filipino Community Picnic (Family Day) slated on 19 June 2009 was cancelled due to unavoidable and unforeseen circumstances.
However, Ambassador Antonio P. Villamor reiterates his invitation to all Filipinos to attend the following remaining activities prepared for the commemoration of the Philippine Independence with the theme “Kagitingan, Kagalingan at Kasipagan Tungo sa Tunay na Kalayaan”:
